How To Join

Got Terriers?  Join Us!

Anyone eighteen years of age or older who owns, co-owns or exhibits a terrier and is in good standing with the American Kennel Club (AKC) is invited to apply for membership with the Houston All Terrier Club.  There are two levels of membership for new applicants(*):

• Individual (voting member with full privileges)

Associate (non-voting member)

Individual membership dues are $15.00 per year; associate membership dues are $10 per year.  If you live in Houston and will be able to attend meetings on a regular basis, please consider an individual membership.  If you are interested in membership, but live outside Houston and/or do not think you will be able to attend many meetings, then you may want to consider an associate membership.

Applicants must agree to abide by the Constitution and Bylaws and Code of Ethics of the Houston All Terrier Club, and by the rules of the American Kennel Club. The application must carry the endorsement of two HAT Club members in good standing and must be submitted with dues payment for the current year.  Applicants for individual (full) membership must be in attendance for the first reading of their application.

Benefits of Membership

۩    Develop relationships with other terrier breeders and exhibitors in southeast Texas.

۩    Participate in shows, matches, trials and exhibitions devoted to purebred terriers.

۩    Help educate the general public about the terrier breeds and responsible dog ownership.

*The HAT Club also offers honorary and life memberships with exemptions from dues, but such membership levels are generally not available to new applicants.
